Hey Annie!

Many thanks for the AoGG podcasts. It's been such a hoot that I pretty much went through all the podcasts in one sitting.

Best wishes and looking forward to the next chapters,

Kim

Thank you so much Kristin and Annie. We will be listening to a few LibriVox recordings for inspiration. The pointers can then be introduced to them as coming from the experts. This is very helpful and thanks again.

Good pointers, Kristin. Also, John, I'd tell the students to enjoy what they are reading and try not to focus on the fact that they're being recorded.

I know I'm not Annie, but I record for LibriVox too, so you might find my tips valuable.

The best thing to do when reading is to relax and get into the story. Make sure not to worry about going too fast, take the time you need to breathe, pause when necessary, and just let it go. If you're too tense and concentrating too much on sounding like something specific, it will come through in the recording.

Hey Annie,

I have really enjoyed your audiocasts. This coming June I will be working with a colleague to create an audiocast created by 5th graders. Do you have any pointers we can give them to help them read so it doesn't sound like they're reading? Thanks for any insights you might provide.

No problem, Anne. iTunes doesn't have to be open at all times but you will need to open it regularly, once a day or once a week or so - whatever works for you. It will then automatically search for and download any new episodes. I hope that helps, feel free to post any more questions here. :)

I am so sorry to bother you, but after subscribing, which I have done, I am asuming that itunes would have to be open at all times to be searching for your podcast? Also if I am asking these questions in the wrong spot just let me know. Thanks for all your help.
